The Song of the Beaverman comes from our conversations together.

These took place at the confluence of Wolf Creek and the Mississippi River north of Memphis, leaning on giant cypress trees by Moonlake lake and the esteemed Otter Lake, where a mysterious and humorous event took place. The Beaverman walked into THE WATER. He strolled in with a calm, beatific look on his rough and ragged face deeper and deeper until the only thing I could see was his hat floating five feet away and
to the left.

Then, two rafts of Otters accompanied by bream, largemouth bass, and a few tickled, tickling minnows lifted him up out of THE WATER into the air and carried The Beaverman by air to the Cozy Corner barbeque shop in Memphis for some ribs, jazz and the long longed for glass of WATER.

What did they talk about that day? I don't know. . .to me The Beaverman spoke of love, hate and beavers.

No record exists of how they all got back home...
